Lab results are received in electronically from the lab and fed directly into the patient’s records. All back office functions are also streamlined through the use of technology. They go to great lengths to provide a positive experience for their customers and make every use of technology toward this end.

They have a great deal of automation in their production of cereal and are continually making improvements when new technology makes sense. In 2007, the engineering department installed a 24x7 monitoring and alerting systems that monitors all of the devices on the Production Network. This monitoring has provided invaluable information for help in troubleshooting problems in a very complex network. This information has allowed them to circumvent several potential hardware failures without interruption to production.

GLMI has introduced a new delivery method for their product which is a suite of products designed for home health service agencies. The traditional method of delivery for this program has been through a local area network (LAN). GLMI found that their customers were struggling to support these networks and so introduced an Internet based delivery of their software. The customer pays a monthly fee for the use of the software and doesn’t have to worry about taking care of the network, making backups, emergency recovery plans or other important but not core business related issues. This new delivery method involves a sophisticated network demonstrating state of the art security and redundancy. It is hosted locally and makes critical use of the fiber ring.
